BRIGHTSTARTW Would Like to Share This New Report by European Transport Safety Council.
This report attempts to share some of the best practices in technical standards and usage requirements from around Europe. So national governments can work to improve safety based on evidence from other countries. The following summary is a compilation of reports on lighting requirements and recommendations for micro e scooter in European countries.
Micro E Scooter Lighting
Micro scooter are small vehicles that can travel and manoeuvre quickly in traffic.
Front and rear lights increase the visibility of the rider in all conditions.
This is particularly important as vehicle detection systems in e.g. new passenger cars fail to reliably recognise micro e scooter riders, especially at speeds over 10 km/h.
